Monumental works in marble and stainless steel, realized in public and institutional contexts across four continents.
About the Artist
Husam Chaya is a sculptor whose practice focuses on material research, form, and process. His work develops through direct engagement with materials and explores the relationship between gesture, scale, and spatial context.
His practice has evolved through the realization of sculptural projects in public and institutional contexts outside Québec, involving large-scale works and site-specific installations. These experiences have shaped a strong material and technical understanding of sculptural production.
Now based in Montréal, Québec, he is consolidating his practice through studio-based research and the transmission of sculptural and material practices, positioning creation and teaching as complementary dimensions of his artistic work.
Form finds its soul.
